North Harbour A beat the 2 time defending champions QE11 of Christchurch in convincing fashion tonight to earn a spot in tomorrows final of the Under 16 Girls National Championship.

North Harbour notched up 7 goals to the local sides 2 ti join Marist Red in the final. Marist Red had earlier beaten a courageous Waitakere Gold 5-3. For North Harbour it was a return from the dead act after being upset on Day 2 of the Championship by Maranui. But Harbour City did them a big favour when beating Maranui yesterday and giving North Harbour entry into finals contention again. So close was the Girls Championship that Maranui ended up 4th in the pool. North Harbour will attempt to make history tomorrow as they will seek an elusive win at Under 16 Girls level since no North Harbour team has won the girls title since the Championship turned to an InterClub event in 1995.
